SolMail: A New Email Client for Android with Clutter Free Interface

Last week I wrote about an email client called Boomerang, which is a pretty good alternative for Gmail in Android. The latest update for Gmail, in both web app and mobile devices, helps people to organize their emails easily. It divides your inbox into primary, social and promotions. So all the important emails will be automatically organized and helps you to focus on that. Today I came with an another alternative Email client called SolMail for Android devices.

SolMail is a new android app, launched earlier this week. It is available for free and you can download it from the play store. Once you install the app, the first thing you will attract you is the user interface. The flat designed icons, white background and the font offers an excellent readability on the application.

After installation, first you will see the instructions and features of the application. Then enter the log in credentials of your email account to start using the app. It supports Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and much more mail services. So add multiple accounts to the app and manage everything on the go. Like other emails clients for Android, it has a swipeable sidebar which contains all the options and labels related to your email account. On the top of the sidebar you have option to switch between different email accounts.

Just Swipe right anywhere on the screen to get the sidebar. In the right top corner of the homepage, you have the compose button. In the bottom you have four different options. The first one is to select multiple emails, second option will refresh your inbox. Third option will provide four more options to sort emails based on various factors. Fourth one is the search option. While composing a new mail, you can easily add pictures, links, etc., from the bottom of the window. Another interesting feature is, you can add different type of funny avatars to the mails you compose.

Go to bottom of the sidebar, to access the settings of the application. In settings, you can change the existing email account options and add new accounts to the application. Also you can enable or disable the mail previews, change fonts, add different signatures to email accounts and much more. Another important option in SolMail is, in the inbox you can swipe left on any email to delete it. In settings you can change that option to “Archive” the email when you swipe left.
