Raindrop.io Lets You Organize All Your Favorite Links On A Cloud Space

There are plenty of bookmarking services available to organize all your important links in a cloud space. The default bookmark option in browsers, has some limitations that’s why we have many free bookmarking services in the Internet offers great features to organize our data. RSS feed applications like Pocket, Feedly, etc., let us save links from the web, social networks, etc., to read later. Raindrop is one such bookmarking application, which offers an excellent interface to organize all our important links in a cloud storage. It helps us save links on the go and offer a comfortable reading interface. Lets have a look at the features and functions of the application.

To start with Raindrop, first you need to sign up with your email id or you can connect your social accounts like Facebook, Twitter, etc., to start using the service. Either you can copy and paste the links or you need Raindrop’s browser extension to save links on the go. As of now, the browser extension is available only for Chrome and for Firefox, it will be available soon. Once you complete the installation, the Raindrop icon will be available in your browser’s URL bar. To save a link, an article or a content, click that icon and you will get a window as shown in the screenshot below.

Similar to other bookmarking applications, it lets you “Add Tags” to the link, to organize them. Also,you can create different categories as “Collections” to save your links. Raindrop can be accessed from web, iPhone and iPad. All the links you’ve saved in different collections will be available on the “My Collections” section on the app’s homepage. There will be option on the top of the homepage to create “New Collections” from the app. By default, all the links you save in “Collections” are private, but there is an option to make it public. You can subscribe to public collections of other users to get more interesting links.

All the links and collections are completely customizable. You can move links between different collections by just a drag and drop. Also, the Smart search will let you quickly find the links on your different Collections and Subscriptions. Similar to other bookmarking services, you can Import/Export bookmarks to the application. The inbuilt reader, offers an excellent readability to read your saved articles. If you are looking for a good bookmarking application, Raindrop is worth giving a try.
